  Phillip G. Adkison

  Mr. Adkison is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Wayne State University Law School. He represents clients in zoning, land use, and property matters and also represents public sector clients on a broad array of issues. His litigation practice includes trials and appellate work in both the state and federal courts on behalf of private and public sector clients. As a trained mediator, Mr. Adkison helps parties resolve their disputes in a manner that advances the interests of each. He is known for his practical and creative problem-solving capability.

  Kelly A. Allen

  Kelly Allen is a partner in the law firm of Adkison, Need, Allen & Rentrop, PLLC, in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. She specializes in all facets of liquor licensing. Ms. Allen and her team handle business formation, lease and land purchase negotiations, liquor license acquisition and transfers, and violations. She is known for representing clients in complex and challenging situations before many municipalities and the Michigan Liquor Control Commission. The oldest of ten children, she became involved in this area of the law when two of her brothers opened their first restaurant in East Lansing, Michigan, in 1984. Five of her brothers went on to open 9 more establishments. Representing her family in liquor licensing matters led Ms. Allen to develop a passion for this area of the law. Many years and hundreds of clients later, she has acquired a high level of expertise. Ms. Allen is an active member of the Oakland County Bar Association, having previously served as President (1998-1999) and Chair of its Legislative Committee. She also served on the State Bar of Michigan’s standing Committee on Character and Fitness and the Representative Assembly. Currently, Ms. Allen is a member of the State Bar of Michigan’s Business Law Section’s Alcohol Beverage Practice Group. Ms. Allen is an active member of the Michigan Restaurant Association, the Michigan Licensed Beverage Association, and has been a speaker for the International Council of Shopping Centers and The Institute of Continuing Legal Education. She is also active in the Michigan Lupus Foundation and the Arthritis Foundation.

  Linda S. Mayer

  Ms. Mayer practices primarily corporate, transactional and real estate law. She assists both public and private sector clients with a variety of matters related to new and ongoing business operations, including entity formation and counseling, asset acquisition, protection and disposition, contract negotiation and formation, real estate and construction matters, wetland regulation and permitting, and general business counseling. Ms. Mayer addresses the business, real estate and transactional needs of clients in both our municipal and liquor license practice groups. Her representation of public sector clients includes expertise in the establishment and governance of public libraries in Michigan.

  Mr. Rentrop can provide a comprehensive perspective to the development and use of land in Michigan. He has represented developers, municipalities and individual residents on matters including development agreements, master deeds, easements and property tax appeals. Mr. Rentrop represents municipalities in Michigan courts on zoning enforcement actions and criminal misdemeanors. He appears in both circuit and district courts for trials and motions and before the Michigan Tax Tribunal. In addition, Mr. Rentrop has assisted clients in a wide range of estate administration issues including litigation, creditor settlement and account reconciliation.

  Jessica A. Hallmark

  Jessica A. Hallmark, Esq. is an associate and member of our liquor practice group. Ms. Hallmark focuses her practice primarily in the areas of business, corporate, transactional, and real estate law. Ms. Jessica Hallmark assists real estate owners in commercial, multifamily, and residential real estate-related matters. She helps her clients with purchase arrangements, drafts condominium documents, deals with zoning and land use matters, and obtains regulatory approvals. As a member of the liquor practice group, she has the expertise to ensure that the clients’ documents meet the standards for approval by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission. In addition, Ms. Hallmark works with businesses and individuals on a broad array of general business matters. She forms corporations and LLCs. and assists clients in business entity mergers, splits, and dissolutions. She prepares and reviews contracts and helps resolve contract disputes. She represents clients in connection with their acquisition of existing businesses through asset purchase transactions.

  Robert M. Goldman, Esq. is a member of our municipal practice group. Mr. Goldman focuses his practice primarily in the areas of municipal prosecutions, municipal law, and land use. Mr. Goldman graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Political Science and a concentration on Pre-Law studies in May 2012. He then went on to attend Wayne State University Law School, where he was awarded the Board of Governors Scholarship, A. Albert Sugar Memorial Annual Scholarship and Norman Leemon Endowed Scholarship. At Wayne State he participated in Moot Court, was Jewish Law Student Association, President; and Vice-President for the Entrepreneurship and Business Law Society. In his free time, Robert enjoys spending time outdoors and on the water, attending and participating in sporting events, and photography.
